Iris is a cute cheeky dress that, with a simple lace pattern, almost knits itself. Knitted from the top down, we ensure a good fit that you can regulate along the way, and the short sleeve can easily be extended if you are using it on those not so warm evenings.

Önling’s Everyday kit, in No 12 and No 13, is a light and summerly combination, perfect for tops, T-shirts, and light sweaters. Our Everyday Yarn, Önling No 12, is a light mix of wool and cotton. Önling No 13 is our accompanying thread in cashmere and super soft first-cut lambswool. Worked with two strands held together throughout 

Recommended needles circular and double pointed size 3 and 3½ mm / US 2½ and 4

Crochet hook, size 3½ mm / US D3 for crocheted provisionary cast-on
3 meter / 3.5 yards of contrasting yarn
1 stitch marker

Gauge: 22 sts and 36 rows in stockinette st on needle size 3½ / US 4 = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches.

Procedure
The dress is worked in the round from the top down. It begins with a crocheted provisional cast-on, allowing the neckline size to be adjusted later. Short rows are worked across the shoulders and back of the neck at the beginning to make the back higher than the front. The yoke is worked as a circular yoke with a leaf pattern, after which the work is divided into body and sleeves, which are then finished separately.
